DAY & NIGHT, BE WATCHFUL
Share
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day.
Psalm 91:5
We all recognize the difference between night and day. This is easily within the realm of every sane person. There are exceptions. Not all of us are “sane” as we would like to define sanity. During the day you may have the blessed opportunity to SEE the arrow arching in its trajectory toward you, and step aside to preserve yourself. The terror of night is that you may be blind in the same moment of the trajectory of that arrow and be struck down.
It is one thing to be out with your family enjoying a day at the zoo or at a park and observe your surroundings while the Sun is high in the sky and voices ride upon the air in clarity with understandable purpose. At times like this you are likely to spot danger or concerns of safety at long distance. You can therefore retreat, change course or make plans to defend yourself among a throng of others equally interested in their own safety and therefore your potential allies. Evil doers understand this. Not to mention that those who prey upon others are often barely up and awake in the daylight hours due to the pursuit of nefarious endeavors well into the late night and early morning hours. At night, heightened situational awareness and extra caution are the best modes of self-defense.
Those who seek to harm others at night are quiet and try to remain unseen for as long as they can to achieve their purpose.
By all means please do not carry a concealed firearm and thereby believe you may reduce or diminish your sense of safety or situational awareness at night. Too often the cliche, “VICTIMS LOOK LIKE VICTIMS" is eminently true. However, needless risk takers may become victims of their own bravado. You may in fact carry a concealed firearm, trained yourself with it and shown every sense of good, responsible gun ownership. Good for you. Don’t push the envelope. DAY AND NIGHT BE WATCHFUL. Everywhere you go, BE WATCHFUL. Everytime you go, BE WATCHFUL. Whomever you are with, BE WATCHFUL.
If you intend to carry a concealed firearm you must use wisdom. The most wise decision is to avoid dangerous people and places, especially at the most likely dangerous time. NIGHT TIME.
