PRESERVE DIGNITY

PRESERVE DIGNITY

The essence of evil is to subvert the free will of another person either by force or manipulation.

Every American citizen has been gifted with certain inalienable rights by their creator. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have remained the bulwark of our freedom due in large part to the dignity of our right to say yes or no when anyone, even those acting under color of governmental authority may make an unjust demand upon us. We hope that we may take our grievances to a fair and unbiased forum to seek redress, to obtain justice.

Beyond this remains what may be a more outwardly sinister attack upon the exercise of our free will by criminals or evil wrongdoers of any stripe.

By varying degree from state to state we may use force, even deadly force to protect ourselves and our homes from threat of danger of death or bodily harm. The man or woman who exercises their right to keep a firearm in their home or to carry a concealed firearm must become familiar with the laws governing these matters in their respective states and localities.

Once you are out of your home, into the highways and byways of modern life, your right to self-defense is very likely to put you at higher risk of arrest and prosecution if you survive the evil episode.

You may ask a law enforcement officer or an Emergency Room Medical Provider what they encounter when called upon to subdue a person who is under the influence alcohol or even worse, certain methamphetamines or hallucinogenic drugs. The ferocious assault and superhuman-like strength they face puts them and others in immediate danger of bodily harm or even death. Sadly this is the fallout from broken homes and a society suffering the ravages of unrestrained violent young men and women who are both victims of modern culture and their own unwillingness/inability to engage in self discipline or sacrifice for the betterment of society.

You must imagine yourself as a legal conceal carry person, encountering individuals who, for any number of reasons, drug related or broken cultural contingencies who are unrestrained and eager to impose their will on you and those you love and care for.

If you are unable to carry your weight in those moments, severe loss, emotional trauma, bodily injury and death become the more likely outcome for you and those you love and those for whom you would like help, who cannot help themselves.

Rights do have consequences. Your second amendment rights and your concomitant responsibilities to our society and culture may result in the preservation of your dignity and the dignity of others. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are indeed beautiful in theory, but exceedingly precious in operation.
